Major city in Turkey - Istanbul. Apparently, one day is not enough to make an acquaintance with this city. We visited few popular places, but the main impression was reached from the tourist bus window.
A short walking over the streets of Istanbul, visiting Sultanahmet Square, known as Hippodrome of Constantinople
The main attraction of Istanbul - Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. It is also known by its original name of Sancta Sophia, also called Church of the Holy Wisdom or Church of the Divine Wisdom. It was built as Christian church in 6th centaury and converted into a mosque under the Ottoman's empire. Not much left from its original decorations. Been not christen, still wish for justice to convert it back to it's original stage.
Next attraction - Palace of the Kathisma with it's spectacular view over Bosporus and Dardanelles.
And the heart of the city - Grand Bazaar. Carpets, beaded bracelets, gold and silver jewelry, multicolored lanterns, leather goods, ceramics, sweetness. Everything presented in hundreds and hundreds of stores. Thousands of people. We could not survive there for more than 15 minutes.
